Reservoirs across the state are looking good for this time of year with most reservoirs at around 80 percent capacity. Reservoirs in northeastern Utah fit this trend. Data released on March 12th show the reservoir fill percentage at 83 percent for Flaming Gorge, 87 percent for Red Fleet, 89 percent for Steinaker, 99 percent for Big Sand Wash, 91 percent for Starvation, 89 percent for Moon Lake, and 95 percent for Currant Creek. “After the previous year’s winter of record-breaking snowfall, it’s great to see high water levels sustained at reservoirs and lakes statewide following years of ongoing drought,” shares DWR Sportfish Coordinator Trina Hedrick. “These robust conditions ensure lots of surface area for anglers to spread out, whether fishing from shore or casting from a boat.”
