The Republican Party’s statewide Presidential Preference Poll revealed that Utah Republicans support Donald Trump as the 2024 party nominee. Results from Daggett, Duchesne, and Uintah County, as well as most counties throughout the state, reflected a strong majority voting for Trump while Davis County and Salt Lake County were close but majority vote was in favor of Nikki Haley. Uintah County Republican Chairman Kason Goodrich thanked all who participated and who volunteered locally. “While there were statewide technological challenges with registration, our local precinct chairs and volunteers did an excellent job of pivoting and overcoming those challenges,” shares Goodrich. “Volunteers stayed up into the early hours of the morning certifying the results and Uintah County was one of the first counties to fully check in all 29 precincts for the Presidential Preference Poll. We are now looking forward to our county convention in April where locally elected delegates will cast votes for our County Officers. We encourage everyone to have civil dialogue, ask questions, and kindly express your opinions to those running for office.” Uintah County had a record turnout for the March 5th Caucus with over 1450 in attendance.
