Election talk is already in the air and the Uintah County Republican Central Committee is busy preparing for caucus trainings, caucus meetings, the annual fundraiser, and the Republican County Convention. Amidst it all, they are making a point to encourage Republican constituents to consider running for office. On this topic the following statement was released: “The Republican Central Committee believes that there should be viable choices for each office when we represent our county at the Uintah Republican County Convention. Therefore, we would like to remind and encourage local Republicans to run for office. The window to file for candidacy is March 7th to 11th. If you know potential candidates, you should encourage them to run. This is how we make a difference at the grass roots level. Please take the time to meet with potential candidates, vet them thoroughly (know their views), and pledge your support to help them seek office. Remember the sacrifice it takes to serve in public office. No one is inclined to serve without support.” The closing date for candidacy is March 11th at 5:00pm.
