Utah’s District 67 representative Christine Watkins is preparing for the Utah Legislative session. In an interview with Castle Country Radio, Representative Watkins shared that education vouchers will be before the legislature again this year. She says the bill will detail how funds can be accessed by homeschooling families as well as other options. It’s expected to be a hot topic. The push for a new state flag is also heating up while some citizens like it and others don’t. Representative Watkins says either way the old flag will still be used in ceremonies but she is interested in hearing what citizens in her district think. She also stated that she hopes funding will be allotted to improve safety on Highway 6. Utah Legislature will start up this year on January 17th.
