Reports of Copper Wire Stolen From Oilfield Locations

Uintah County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to be on the lookout as there has been a recent uptick in reports of copper wire being stolen from oilfield locations in Uintah County. “Stealing copper wire from these locations is not only illegal, it’s dangerous,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “If you witness suspicious activity around a well pad or other oilfield location, please call Central Dispatch at 435-789-4222.”
