A case of reckless driving reported on Monday to Central Dispatch led to a parole check in Duchesne County that ultimately ended in arrest. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a citizen made the report of reckless driving and officers located the vehicle parked at a home in Duchesne City. Officers looked it up and found that the owner of the vehicle was 45-year-old Sunny Marie Garner. Garner answered the door of the home and when officers told her they were there because of a report of reckless driving, she said she figured somebody would call her in because she was very tired while driving home from work. Garner’s probation officer was called and a compliance check was requested on the residence. Garner attempted to hide methamphetamine and a pipe she took from her purse and she was placed under arrest. She is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
