Snow is in the forecast and Roosevelt City has provided a timely reminder to community members. “On snowy days, please make sure that you move all vehicles [and] trash cans off the roadways so that our plows can get through,” shares the reminder. “We can’t effectively remove snow if there are barriers in our way. Did you know that plowing doesn’t just make roads safer for driving? It also allows sunlight to reach the asphalt and keeps our utility lines underneath the road from freezing. If we can’t plow, you’re more likely to experience a freeze-up of your water line, which is something we never like to see. Help us help you this winter by moving everything out of the road when it’s snowy.” This applies to all roads when snow makes its appearance.
