It’s no surprise for locals but an online travel publication is spreading the word that
Uintah County has one of Utah’s best kept secrets. ‘The Travel’ magazine has listed Red
Fleet State Park as one of the ‘10 Underrated State Parks To Visit This Year’ across the
nation. Listed at number 6, Red Fleet State Park is described as “one of the best-hidden
gems in Utah” and one worth choosing over busy national parks in Utah, including Zions
and Bryce Canyon. The article fails to mention the construction underway at Red Fleet
which is for the best as the new and improved camping and facilities are expected to be
opening by the time new travelers would want to make their trip anyway.
