Red Cross has blood drives coming up in the Uintah Basin and the need for donors has never been higher. The national blood supply has fallen by about 25% percent since early August and at the same time donor turnout dropped on the heels of one of the busiest travel seasons. You can help by scheduling an appointment now. A blood drive is being held today in Vernal at TriCounty Health Department from 1:30 to 6pm. Upcoming local blood drives include UBTech in Roosevelt on October 23rd, UBTech in Vernal on October 24th, the Uintah Community Center on October 30th, and the Roosevelt Library on Halloween, October 31st. The Red Cross is working with hospitals around–the-clock to meet the blood needs of patients.
