Recyclops Now Available in Roosevelt

A rural recycling option is now available in Roosevelt City. The Recyclops company uses  a tech-driven smart routing app to efficiently gather recycled items from households in rural areas. A Forbes magazine highlight stated that Recyclops serves over 3,500 homes in rural areas across multiple states since its inception in 2014. The startup has recycled now well over 2,000 tons and diverted over 4 million pounds of waste from landfills. Roosevelt City initially did not welcome the service with the Roosevelt City Council voting down a motion in 2019 to begin negotiations with Recyclops to do business in Roosevelt City. Since that time City code was clarified to allow for Recyclops to operate. Participation in the recycling program is optional and individual households can sign up through Recyclops.com. The service first arrived in the Uintah Basin in 2018 when Vernal City was the first to welcome the service.
