A trail cam caught a rare moment this month in the Uinta Mountains. The Division of Wildlife Resources shared this week that a wolverine was spotted on the north slope of the Uintas thanks to an elk hunter’s trail camera. In the photos the wolverine is seen interacting with two coyotes who seem to know they don’t want to mess with the wolverine. Wolverines are known for their strength compared to their size as a medium to smaller sized animal that you frankly just don’t want to mess with. Depending on the source, there have only been as few as 5 or up to 8 total sightings of a wolverine in Utah ever.
