Women came together for a night of fun on Friday, all to help victims of sex trafficking. The Annual Ladies Night Out benefitting Rapha House started 4 years ago and has grown into a tradition for many families and groups of friends. The first year the event raised $5,000 dollars. The next year that number doubled. Numbers for Friday’s event are still being tallied but it looks like it has surpassed last year’s total of around $17,000 dollars. “We are always blown away by how many people come and donate and help us put this event together,” shares Katie Cundall, one of the event organizers. Katie credited Karen Redden for having the vision to create the event and the go-getter attitude to make each year a success. The Rapha House organization has safe houses in Cambodia, Thailand, and Haiti for girls who have been trafficked; the average age of the girls is between 10 and 12 but with girls as young as 4 and up to 18 also served.
