The annual fundraiser for Rapha House held at the Western Park was a major success
on Friday night
. “We raised around $20,000!” shares one of the event coordinators, Katy Cundall. “We are very exhausted but even more thankful! We had more people there than any other year and a lot of new people who haven’t been before. So all of that is great! Along with raising money we are spreading awareness of the huge human trafficking issue and challenging people to do something!” The event’s theme this year was ‘Celebration of Freedom’ and the money raised will help girls rescued from sex trafficking that are in safe houses through the Rapha House organization in Cambodia, Thailand, and Haiti. We extend our thanks to all involved in supporting such a worthy cause!
