The Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce is shining a spotlight on an amazing community member known for her involvement and service. Louise Thompson was announced as the recipient of the Quarterly Outstanding Public Service Award. The Chamber announcement shares that Louise is an owner of several local businesses such as Basin Flood and Fire, Buddy Storage, and Bublen Drinks & Treats. These businesses contribute to local sports teams, The Uintah County Sheriffs Association, Trees for Charity, several benefit golf tournaments, and more. She is also active in the Vernal Chamber of Commerce, LEPC, Roosevelt Business Alliance, Duchesne County Chamber of Commerce, Women Business Owners of the Basin, and Women in Business Duchesne County. Louis also stays busy as a member of the Vernal Rotary Club where she has been an active help with Santa’s Community Effort.
