Pursuit Through Residential Craig Area Ends In Arrest

The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office reports that on October 14th, at approximately 3:30pm, officers with the Craig Police Department observed a male operating a motorcycle who was known to have a revoked or suspended driver’s license. When they attempted to approach the driver, he fled which prompted a pursuit through a residential area. The suspect failed to stop when the officers activated their emergency lights and sirens, and made intentional maneuvers to evade police contact. The chase ended when the suspect ditched his motorcycle and attempted to escape on foot, but was eventually apprehended at the intersection of 7th and Tucker Street in Craig. Matthew David Prince was taken into custody on several charges.
