Public comment is being sought on a revised Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area Plan and Assessment which was last completed in 1986. Ashley National Forest has been developing the plan for the past two years, with multiple public meetings as part of the process. “The revised plan will address increased visitation and visitor use to align with the recently completed revised Ashley National Forest Plan,” shares the announcement. A series of open house meetings will be held on the following dates and locations: June 17th from 4 to 6pm at the Vernal Municipal Building; June 18th from 11 to 1pm at the USDA Forest Service office in Green River, Wyoming; and June 18th from 4:30 to 6:30pm at the Daggett County Courthouse in Manila.
