Campers, hunters, and the public in general are asked to avoid Rock Creek Road to Upper Stillwater Reservoir for the next month. Ashley National Forest announced this week that road work will require closures for undetermined time periods as work progresses. Rock Creek Road sustained major damage during an August 26th storm over the 2020 East Fork Fire burn scar that caused massive debris to slide down the mountain in multiple locations, blocking the road. Duchesne County road crews worked quickly to clear the debris and slides but work needs to be done to make the road stable and safe.
