The Colorado Department of Transportation has issued a Travel Advisory for motorists traveling on Highway 40 in northwestern Colorado through September 18th. “The Colorado Department of Transportation and contract partner EnviroServe will perform operations to clean debris and hazardous materials left over from a previous semi-truck crash,” shares the announcement. “Motorists should plan for full stops, up to 15 minute delays and alternating traffic on US Highway 40 approximately eight miles east of Hayden (Mile Point 115 to 116). Crews will work swiftly to complete debris removal operations which are currently scheduled to be completed next Wednesday, September 18th.” Vehicles will be guided by flagging personnel and signs and a speed reduction of 40 mph will be enforced through the work zones.
