Pizza Hut Stop Followed By DUI Arrest

A run to Pizza Hut ended in a DUI arrest for one man over the weekend in Roosevelt. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a report came into dispatch of a man that smelled of alcohol had picked up a pizza and then left. An officer initiated a traffic stop of the suspected vehicle and upon contact, observed that the man was slurring his speech heavily and there was a strong odor of alcohol. The officer asked the man if he had been drinking and the man said that yes he had. Field sobriety tests were performed and failed. The man was placed under arrest and a search of the vehicle revealed several open containers as well as a bong and several knives, including a throwing knife. It was found that the man had 2 active warrants, one of which was for DUI with prior felony conviction. After being medically cleared at Uintah Basin Medical Center, 51-year-old Antonio Redfoot was transported to the Duchesne County Jail where he was booked on the warrants as well as the DUI with prior felony conviction, Unlawful Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating a Vehicle without Insurance, Driving on a Suspended License, and Open Container in a Vehicle on the Highway.
