Crews are set to begin paving operations starting today on the north side of Highway 40 between Lapoint Highway and Cottonwood Road as part of the UDOT project in Gusher. “There will be several hours [Tuesday] afternoon when the paving operation will block access to driveways and side roads on the northside of US-40,” shares the UDOT update. “Drivers can use 2000 North as a detour to access side roads. Paving will finish on Wednesday. Beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21st, US-40 will shift down to one lane with flaggers controlling traffic. Construction crews will be moving barriers and setting up a new work zone overnight. All lanes will be open by 5 a.m. Wednesday. Minimal activity will take place on the project starting at noon on Thursday, July 23rd. Work will resume Monday, July 27th. All lanes will be open between these times.”
