Adventure awaits in Vernal this Friday as Outlaw’s Lost Treasure Hunt is back and ready to award the winner $10,000 dollars. This year the treasure chest will actually be chained to a table in Cobblerock Park and the treasure hunters will be following clues to find the key to the chest. While some popular treasure hunts require hunters to solve a single riddle, Outlaw’s Lost Treasure Hunt is more like a National Treasure style hunt where one clue leads to the next clue and the hunters are piecing information together to arrive at answers. Just like last year, the event is in tandem with the John Wesley Powell River Festival put on by Uintah County Travel and Tourism. The hunt is free to participate in and is designed to ensure the key is found by the evening of Sunday, July 30th. The hunt begins at 9am on Friday, July 28th. Teams can get started by scanning the QR code in the window at RedExit Escapes at 21 East Main Street in Vernal. The best way to prepare is to visit www.OutlawsLostTreasure.com or the Outlaw’s Lost Treasure Hunt Facebook page and read over the ‘Laws Of The Hunt’. It not only provides some structure for the hunt but also offers some tips. Good luck and happy hunting!
