The topic of rising energy demands is on the lips of Utah government leaders and the solution being explored is nuclear energy. Representative John Curtis is among those stressing the possibility. He shared his support for this option in his email newsletter this week. “We want this to come to Utah,” shares Curtis. “We want to be a big part of this. We’re ready for nuclear facilities here in our state, and we have communities who would welcome that. We have a lot of people in traditional energy sources that this would be very beneficial to them, and we’re excited about that.” Governor Cox has also stated that he supports turning to nuclear energy as they look to meeting future energy demands.
