Notice Given Of Proposed Tax Increase In Manila

A notice has been issued of a proposed tax increase for the town of Manila in Daggett
County. The notice was included in this month’s Daggett Post and states that the town of
Manila is proposing to increase its property tax revenue so that the tax on a $154,000
dollar residence would increase by $4.83 per year and the tax on a $154,000 dollar
business would increase by $8.77. If the proposed budget is approved, the town of Manila
would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 6.68 percent above last year’s
property tax budgeted revenue, excluding eligible new growth. More information can be
