Some residents in north Roosevelt reported feeling a blast when a frac tank ignited on Monday evening at an oil well location. According to Roosevelt Fire Department, this took place around 8:30pm and crews responded to the fire on North Crescent Road. The frac tank had static electricity that caused it to ignite but thankfully there were no injuries reported. The fire crews put a blanket of foam over the top of the fire to smother it out and then just let it cool off. Roosevelt Fire had it covered and knocked down within an hour and then hung around to make sure that it smoked and stayed out.
