Never underestimate the potential of a group of youth eager to learn. The Uintah High ‘Family, Career, Community Leaders of America’ chapter competed at Region last week and all seven of the Uintah students who competed are moving on to the next level of competition. What makes this especially exciting is that most of these girls are brand new to the organization. “All but one were newcomers to FCCLA this year and had little to no prior experience in sewing or other FCCLA activities before this school year,” shares chapter advisor Heather Moulton. Madilynn Barnes, Elly Young, Aisling Neale, Adaline Pettit, Addilyn Foley, Emma Aycock, and Lamona Blackhorse all qualified to compete at the State FCCLA Conference on March 26th and 27th.
