Statistically, the New Year’s Eve holiday is the deadliest day on the roads and local
agencies are ready to stop as many impaired drivers as they can to keep others on the
road safe. The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office is among the agencies intent to keep the
public safe. Uintah County Sheriff’s Office confirmed with Evans Family Media that they
will be heavily staffed for New Year’s Eve and will be out looking for impaired drivers.
“We hope everyone has a great New Year’s Eve and New Years Day,” shares the Sheriff’s
Office, “but if folks are planning on partying, make a plan on how to get home. There is
no excuse for driving impaired. Just don’t do it.”
