New Trial Scheduled For Duchesne County Nurse In 2016 Death Of Inmate

A new trial has been scheduled for the nurse who was charged with negligent homicide in the death of an inmate. Duchesne County Jail nurse, Jana Clyde, was charged with negligent homicide in the 2016 death of 21-year-old inmate Madison Jensen and the case went before a jury on June 8th in 8th District Court in Duchesne. In the end, the jury deadlocked and the judge called a mistrial. Madison Jensen’s father, Jared Jensen, shared with Evans Family Media at that time that they would move forward to pursue another trial date. A new trial is approaching as a pretrial conference for the ‘State of Utah Attorney General versus Jana Clyde’ is on the 8th District Court schedule for September 27th and Day 1 of the trial is scheduled for October 3rd.
