A new traveling exhibit will be on display at the Uintah County Heritage Museum, opening January 10th. The display, titled “Eres Poderosx/You Are Powerful”, is a collection of works from the Nopalera Artist Collection which shares the work of artists from different cultures and backgrounds. The artists featured are Izzy Fernandez, David Peralta, Ella Mendoza, Jorge Arellano, Veronica Perez, Andrew Alba, Lola Reyes, and Melissa Alvarez. They are all Latin American Youth who now live and thrive in the desert landscape of Utah. “Their works touch on the experiences as migrants, as well as the people and cultures of Latin America,” shares Lana Fullbright with the Heritage Museum. “In particular, the artists focus on the experiences of youth, offering a love letter and testament to the power of past, present, and future generations.” This unique display will be shown at the Uintah County Heritage Museum from January 10th through February 5th.
