New Stop Light Promised For Naples City To Help With Anticipated Bus Traffic

by | May 14, 2021 | News | 0 comments

A new stop light is destined for Naples City on Highway 40 at 1000 South. Naples City Mayor Dean Baker confirms that plans are underway for the light and for a good reason. Uintah School District’s administration will be moving to their new property in that area including the entire fleet of school buses as part of the district’s transportation department. Mayor Baker became an advocate for having the light put in after considering the safety issue of over 30 school buses turning left onto Highway 40 every school afternoon. Baker says the need for the light was critical and that he was very grateful when Governor Cox got involved and helped make the traffic light a reality. No timeline has been announced yet but the hope is that it will be complete before school starts again in the Fall.
