Kids making their way to East Elementary School will have an easier, safer time thanks to the new sidewalk project now underway. The Roosevelt Bulletin shares that the city received just under $100,000 dollars in grant funding from UDOT’s Safe Routes to School Program. Those funds will be used to construct about 2,000 feet of four-feet wide sidewalks and ADA accessible ramps. During their July 17th meeting, Roosevelt City Council awarded the project to Maverick Construction. Construction is underway and the new sidewalks are expected to be complete before school starts next month.
