New Evacuation Ordered in Duchesne County From Dollar Ridge Fire

The Dollar Ridge Fire continues to threaten the homes of Duchesne County citizens as a new evacuation order has been issued. All residents south of Highway 40 and north of Currant Creek River, including the Big G Convenience Store, should evacuate immediately. Shelter is available at Duchesne High School. The third evacuation area covers from Mile Marker
74, Sam’s Wash Road, east
to Strawberry River Road on the west end of Starvation Reservoir. Strawberry River Road is the southern boundary. The evacuation is only for the south side of Highway 40 as the fire has not yet crossed it. Highway 40 remains open.
