Naples Elementary is hoping for a repeat win of a regional contest that awards one school with some big bucks and resources. Schools across the nation celebrate Red Ribbon Week in the fall of every school year to teach youth to live drug free. The National Red Ribbon Week organization awards schools for making it a big affair and Naples Elementary is among select schools in Region 8 with a photo in the contest. Naples Elementary won the contest last year and are hoping for another year in the running. Photo entries this year were required to feature the double-looped red ribbon along with this year’s theme of “Your Future is Key, So Stay Drug Free.” The school is asking Basin community members to get online and vote for their school as they hope to win $1,000 dollars and an iPad.
