Many members of the community have a great deal of pride for what their city/town contributes to the whole of the Basin. Naples City is getting the word out asking for residents to take a survey so that they can update their General Plan. This legally-required plan plays a critical role in prioritizing certain goals and policies as the city develops. It acts as a guide to current and long-term growth, directs capital investments, and provides the rationale for local ordinances. As part of it, the State requires that the General Plan address issues such as land uses, housing, and transportation.
