Free Fishing Day is coming up on Saturday, June 10th and the Division of Wildlife Resources has found a way to make it extra memorable for those trying the sport for the first time. No one needs a fishing license on Free Fishing Day and there are even events where equipment is available to borrow as well as helpers for those who need it. In the special instance that someone catches their first fish, the DWR has a special DWR certificate to be printed at home and filled in to commemorate the special occasion. Free Fishing Day events in northeastern Utah include a fishing derby at Moose Pond on June 10th from 9am to noon and one at Lower Stillwater Ponds in Rock Creek Canyon from 9am to noon.
