Murder Suspect Sought by Rifle Police Department; Reward Offered

A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted for murder. The Rifle Police Department issued the call for help this week as they search for Michael Francis Montgomery who is wanted for the murder of Christopher Gallegos. According to Rifle Police, Montgomery is believed to have murdered Gallegos using a firearm on March 29th in the 2600 block of Acacia Avenue in Rifle. Montgomery knows that he is wanted for murder and if he is seen, citizens should not approach him but call 9-1-1 instead. Montgomery is 45-years-old, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighs 177 pounds and has hazel eyes. The tattoos on his arms are distinctive. He may have a haircut and altered his facial hair.
