Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash on Sunday afternoon in Daggett County. According to Utah Highway Patrol, a man and woman pulled out of a campground near Sheep Creek entering SR-44 shortly after noon when the bike ran off the road to the right a short distance later for an unknown reason. The accident took place near milepost 21. The male driver was transported to a Salt Lake area hospital by helicopter and the female passenger was transported by ambulance to Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal where she was treated and released. There were no outside witnesses to the accident and the UHP investigation is ongoing. They do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash. Both riders were wearing protective gear including helmets and jackets and the driver had gloves and boots as well.
