It’s onward and upward for the Vernal Regional Airport as they move towards a transition
of services now and in the coming months. The announcement that Contour Airlines will
begin commercial flights in early February 2024 included the note that airport officials
and Contour are actively exploring a second destination in addition to a flight schedule of
12 weekly flights to and from Phoenix, AZ. More immediately, as SkyWest continues
service up until the transition with Contour, RedTail Airlines will actually start next week
at the Vernal Regional Airport operating 2 weekly flights to and from Salt Lake City
executive airport. Arrivals and departures are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays,
utilizing an eight-seat aircraft, priced at $100 dollars per one-way ticket. Reservations can
