A Moon Lake Electric power outage affected businesses and neighborhoods on Wednesday. Downtown Roosevelt was without power for about 4 hours from 8am to noon. As a result of that outage, Strata Networks had services affected throughout the Uintah Basin including businesses throughout Duchesne and Uintah Counties that rely on Strata internet for running cards and other operations. At 12:15pm, Strata announced that services appeared to have been restored to their affected customers but unfortunately some customers continued experiencing issues. By 3pm, Strata announced that the issue was resolved and services should be back up and running. They also expressed their appreciation for everyone’s patience as they worked to resolve the issues. The cause of the power outage was not shared on Wednesday by Moon Lake Electric on either their website or Facebook page.
