Dispatchers in Moffat County are receiving credit where it is due and the Moffat County Sheriff has plenty to say about it. During their most recent meeting, the ‘Moffat County 911 Authority’ issued a Proclamation recognizing dispatchers as First Responders. “Our dispatchers serve the citizens of Moffat County 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year,” shares Moffat County Sheriff KC Hume, who also serves as the 911 Authority Chair. “They are team members, as much as the patrol deputy, police officer, firefighter or EMS provider. Often, they are the first ‘First Responder’ as they answer the 911 call, ensuring appropriate emergency services respond. This First Responder recognition is long overdue, we are fortunate to have them as members of our team.” The Proclamation was signed on June 15th.
