Officials have confirmed that the Summit County man reported missing in September and believed to be in the Uinta Mountains was found dead earlier this month. KPCW reported this week that the Summit County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the body found off the Mirror Lake Highway on October 4th was 39-year-old Thomas Roger Lund who had been reported missing since September 12th. His truck was found crashed into a ravine near the Soapstone Basin turnoff not far from Lund’s body which had an apparent gunshot wound. The cause of death has not yet been released by the Utah State Medical Examiner. Lund was known to be a frequent visitor of the outdoors, including Moon Lake and Wolf Creek Pass.
