Utah politicians are exploring jumping into the 2024 election circuit in pursuit of different offices, including the race for Utah’s Congressional District 3 which includes northeastern Utah. Representative John Curtis is the current representative in District 3 but he recently announced that he is exploring a run for Mitt Romney’s U.S. Senate seat. That possibility has caused others to take a look at running in the District 3 race, including Dr. Mike Kennedy who currently represents parts of Utah County. Kennedy announced Friday that he is exploring the Congressional bid for Utah’s 3rd District. “Our nation is at a pivotal moment, facing a staggering debt crisis, eroding freedoms, and a lack of common sense and civility in policy-making,” shared Kennedy. “I am exploring a congressional bid because now more than ever we need conservatives who can work with others to confront these issues head-on, bringing fiscal restraint, enhanced border security, and commonsense leadership to Washington.” It is anticipated that if Curtis announces a senate run then Kennedy will officially enter the race for Utah’s 3rd Congressional District.
