Willis LeFevre, candidate for Uintah County Commissioner, is a local rancher and strong supporter of the oil and gas industry. He was selected as the official nominee for the Republican Party at the Uintah County Convention this spring. LeFevre recently visited the Evans Family Media studios for an interview about local issues. When asked what he hopes to accomplish, LeFevre emphasized that the job of an elected official is to accomplish what the people want and to listen closely to the public. He is a regular attendee of local public meetings and shared during the interview that he sees a great need to identify the operating budget of Uintah County as a baseline for any conversation about a budget and taxes. The interview also covered topics of government transparency, seeking public input, issues with water resources, supporting local youth, and more.
