The Meet the Candidate Radio Forum kicked off for Uintah County School Board candidates this week. Three of the five Uintah School Board seats are open this election and the radio forum is aimed at providing voters a clearer understanding on each candidates position on issues facing local education. Robin McClellan has worked as a teacher and coach for 25 years. McClellan promises to advocate for students, teachers, administrators, and staff but also emphasizes that she respects diverse points of view and will be open minded and approachable about issues before the board. McClellan states that she will operate under the rules of the board’s guidelines and responsibilities, is fiscally conservative, and not afraid of heavy lifting. The District 3 seat is currently held by Mark Caldwell who is seeking reelection. District 3 voting precincts include Maeser, Glines and part of Vernal City.
