Leonard Isaacson visited the KVEL studio this week for an interview on the Meet the Candidate Forum. Isaacson is running for Uintah County Sheriff. His campaign information can be found on the Facebook page, ‘Leonard Isaacson for Uintah County Sheriff.’ Isaacson has served over 22 years in law enforcement in the Uintah Basin. Ways he plans to implement proactive policing for a safer community include new programs in the jail, public awareness programs for local youth, and an open door policy for deputies and the community, among other ideas. The Meet the Candidate Forum started on May 7th and is being held select mornings from 8 to 9am broadcast on News Talk KVEL 104.5 FM and 920 AM. New interviews this week include Ron Winterton and Eileen Gallagher, both for Senate District 26, on Wednesday, June 6th, Steve Labrum for Uintah County Sheriff on Thursday, June 7th, and Brian Gorum and Pat Vaughn, both for Senate District 26, on Friday, June 8th. Interviews will be rebroadcast every weekday morning from 8 to 9am through Tuesday, June 19th.
