Danny Mortenson, candidate for Uintah County Commissioner, is passionate about the Vernal community. He enjoys volunteer work and is well known for his help with Vernal baseball as well as the local Night to Shine through the Tim Tebow Foundation to celebrate local special needs community members. Mortensen visited the Evans Family Media studios recently to discuss why he is running for Commissioner and the issues facing Uintah County. In short, he stated that he is running for the citizens in order to keep them informed and help them have a voice. He shared his feelings on the recent tax increase, stating that while he has not said he is against the tax increase for public safety, he is against the lack of transparency and the complete lack of allowing public input ahead of the vote.
