Improvements and protections to McConkie Ranch have occurred thanks to a partnership with the Utah State Historic Preservation Office. According to a Utah SHPO announcement, ranch owners partnered with them to receive a matching grant to help protect the rock imagery and develop educational resources on the significance of the site. The educational materials are for in-person visitors as well as a new website to extend the educational mission of McConkie Ranch to a global audience. The SHP Archaeology Grant is a 50/50 match grant for the $32,000 project. The educational materials include a walking tour brochure and informative signage along the trails, which educate visitors about the rock imagery and the people who created it.
