The Daggett County Commission shared their monthly update on Monday in the March Flaming Gorge Gazette. Daggett County is working on the County Wide Preparedness Plan, involving local agencies and businesses. “We are discussing all the ways we can be prepared in the event of a wildfire,” shares the Commission. “During this process it has come to our attention the need for our private citizens to put our addresses on our homes. Location finders for responders will be a vital part to contribute to the success of response times.” The Commission also shared that they have sent a letter of support for the grant application for the Little Hole Trail Project, stating that this popular attraction needs some upgrading. The Commission is continuing to seek a replacement for the Medical Practitioner but has an arrangement with the Uintah Basin Medical Center to provide services at the local clinic three days a week in the meantime. Finally, the Commissioners shared that they have been involved with the state legislature and are seeking a way to deal with the jail and the state is considering several options.
