Although our community has joined the world in the efforts to combat COVID-19 by self ioslating that doesn’t mean that we should let our community spirit of service suffer. Both Ashley Regional Medical Center and Uintah Basin Healthcare are asking those that are willing and able to help by breaking out the sewing machines to make masks. While the masks will not be considered official Personal Protective Equipment, they will be useful to allow the medical community to cautiously conserve the limited PPE supplies that they do have. If you want to help Uintah Basin Healthcare, visit their website and under the tab “service opportunities” you will find patterns. UBH has a limited amount of fabric for those that would like to help. Ashley Regional Medical Center has put together a team that is leading a PPE community project. The crew will be leading volunteers in making masks and gowns with supplies provided by the hospital. Visit JustServe.org to know when the hospital makes this project open to the community.
