The students of Manila Elementary School continue to set an excellent example of caring for the community. In the May edition of the Flaming Gorge Gazette it shares that students spent the better part of Earth Day on April 22nd cleaning up the grounds of the Manila School campus. As the article shares, with gloves on and trash bags in hand, the army of students went about battling trash on campus and coming off conquerors. “MES students are Earth’s biggest fans!” shared Kindergarten teacher Carol Slaugh. “We cleaned the earth by joining hands!” The tradition of service and caring for the planet is certain to continue at Manila Elementary School.
