One man quickly reconsidered a decision made at the moment police arrived at his location and instead requested medical attention. 29-year-old Dominic Walter Hendrickson was part of a group of people found trespassing at a residence in Roosevelt. Police were called by the property owner who reported that no one should be at the residence. Police arrived and informed the group that they were trespassing and to gather their things. Hendrickson was asked to empty his pockets which revealed a used syringe. He then informed the officers that he needed an ambulance. When medical personnel arrived, Hendrickson explained that he had swallowed bags of methamphetamine when the officers arrived. He was taken to the Uintah Basin Medical Center and was medically cleared before being booked into Duchesne County Jail on drug charges and Criminal Trespassing. Swallowing the methamphetamine resulted in a Tampering with Evidence charge.
